My name is Sharla Race and I am the owner and creator of this site. I produced this site because I am deeply concerned that many people are struggling with physical and mental health problems that, for some, could be reduced or even completely eliminated by a change in their diet. I live in the UK and when I first began to discover that I was food intolerant I had enormous problems in finding the detailed information I needed to get well. My hope is that this site, and my books, will provide you with that information. If you would like to read more about my story you can find it in the True Stories section. My mission is to share knowledge and information that can bring about better health and a better quality of life for those who are not ill but simply food intolerant. Please note that I am not a doctor, nor do I have any medical training. I have degrees in Social Anthropology and Computing and many years of work experience with non profit organisations and in the field of social research. My expertise for this site comes from my own experience, years of research and my outrage at the way the medical profession treats symptoms rather than looks for causes. Food Can Make You Ill first went live on line in June 2000. With regular updates the site became a vast resource but also became too complex. In February 2004 the site was reorganised and streamlined. An information review was carried out in 2007. During 2008 this web site will be changing dramatically with a new look and more books, hopefully printed as well as available for download. Currently, the books are all available as individual ebooks on CD and via the main Food Intolerance CD. From now until stocks run out, all the CDs are on sale - half the original price! For the Food Intolerance CD that is a massive saving - it was £19.99 and is now only £9.99 Don't miss out - stocks are limited.
